Our Structure & Governance
The Chambers across PEI have a joint letter of intent and draft a Memorandum of Understanding for release in December 2025. Our purpose is clear. We have a working group from Chamber leadership and Boards of Directors as well experienced and new business leaders. We are comprised of founding members, annual members and report annually to the members and Chambers Boards across the Island. To join BEC you are required to also hold a membership in any other Chamber across PEI.
Our research is provided by an independent third-party leader in the region with our evidence based economic policy recommendations guiding our future. We are informed through our research, data and experience to help inform our policy recommendations.
As one voice together we strive to:
1. Drive sound Public Policy: By joining BEC business leaders can contribute to shaping public policy that directly impacts the business environment in Prince Edward Island. The council provides a unified voice for the business community, ensuring that their interests are represented and advocated for effectively together. We believe we can impact effective change to help the broader business community and PEI prosper.
